  • Why can't I play the videos?

    If you are unable play the video messages or are getting a license error message, make sure your device is running one of the minimum Operating System (OS) version and are using a compatible browser with its latest updates, as shown in the next two questions.

  • On which operating systems can the webcast messages be played?
    • Windows versions 7, 8, 10 or later
    • Macs versions 10.13 or later
    • iPhones & iPads versions 11.2.1 or later
    • Android versions 5.0 or later
    • Linux
  • Which browsers can be used?
    • Windows: Chrome, Firefox, Edge
    • Mac: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge

  • What do I do if my device is not running one of the minimum OS versions?

    Unfortunately, if your device is not running one of the minimum OS versions, you will not be able to play the video messages. Please try to use another computer or device.

  • What if my device meets the requirements and I am still unable to play the videos?
    1. Try changing your browser, that is, try playing the message on one of the other compatible browsers.
    2. Try restarting your device to see if this corrects the problem.
    3. Make sure you have a stable Internet connection.
    4. If using a Windows computer, make sure that Windows updates are not running in the background, as this slows down your computer significantly. If updates are the issue, then install the updates first, and then restart your computer.
    5. If you have any cloud backup services running in the background, you may need to turn them off.
    6. Finally, consider restarting your Internet router or modem.
  • Where can I find the video messages?

    All messages are available in Archives under All Messages. The most recent conference, wednesday ministry meeting messages, or semiannual training are also available on the main menu. If a video is available, you will see a video icon with a drop-down menu of the languages available for that message. If there is no video available, you will see a grayed out video icon .

  • Why am I hearing both English and another language at the same time?

    Some of the audio tracks are stereo with English on the left audio track and a translation on the right audio track.

  • Can the messages be downloaded?

    This site is now available as an Android app in the Google Play Store and is listed as LSM Webcast Subscription. This app allows you to navigate the webcast site and watch content online or download it for offline viewing.

  • Why am I having problems when sharing my screen in Zoom?

    If you are having problems screen-sharing webcast video on Zoom, please use Chrome as your browser and follow these instructions to turn off Graphics Acceleration:

    1. Open Chrome and click the three vertical dots on the top right corner
    2. Click "Settings" toward the bottom of the menu
    3. On the left side under "Settings", choose "System"
    4. Turn OFF the setting "Use graphics acceleration when available"
    5. Restart Chrome for the changes to apply

    We do not recommend sharing your screen via Zoom on a mobile device. If you are still having problems, please try updating and reinstalling Chrome and Zoom.

Digital Rights Management (DRM) and Licensing Questions

  • What is DRM?

    Digital Rights Management (DRM) is an encryption service that works in conjunction with a browser to provide authorization for a browser to play an encrypted video. In order to play a file that has DRM, a browser must acquire a "license".

  • What is a license?

    A license is an electronic key that a browser must obtain before it can play the file. A license is required for each file (message) you play on a device.

  • Why am I being told that I have run out of licenses?

    You are allowed to play a message on up to 2 IP addresses. If you share your login credentials with others, you will use up your allocation of licenses and be unable to watch that message.

  • Do I need a license if I am going to view the message without downloading it?

    Yes, a license is required for both streaming and playing a file.
